How to plant bare root fruit trees
- Soak the tree roots in a tub of water for 3 to 6 hours (not to exceed 24hrs)and never allow the roots to dry out.
- Dig a hole about twice the size of the current root system. For containers use at least a 15gallon container to start and moving to a 30 gallon container later.
- Don’t plant the tree too deeply as it cause the trunk to rot.
- Fill the soil in and around the root system. Press the soil in firmly, but do not pack it tightly. You may consider adding a support stake for it as well.
- Water the tree generously and often for it’s first year, and create a soil moat around the tree as well, to keep the water from running off and having the water reach the roots.

An urban area is characterized by higher population density and vast human features in comparison to areas surrounding it. Urban areas may be cities, towns or conurbations, but the term is not commonly extended to rural settlements such as villages and hamlets.
Sustainability, in a broad sense, is the capacity to endure. In ecology, the word describes how biological systems remain diverse and productive over time. For humans it is the potential for long-term maintenance of wellbeing, which in turn depends on the wellbeing of the natural world and the responsible use of natural resources.
