Developing sustainable landscapes has the added benefit of bringing and encouraging wildlife of all types to call your corner of the planet home too. It seems like since we started our urban farm we have seen all manner of fauna visit us, from beautiful and itinerate wild birds to regular visitors like Kooky the Red tailed hawk. If you have pictures of your own visitors be sure to send them over to info@gardengirltv.com
Kooky the Red tailed hawk.
Red Cardinals bring a spectacular treat on spring days
Wild Turkey are new in our neighbored, but are stunningly beautiful with iridescent fathers and proud dispositions.
One of the keys to so many wild visitors has been numerous ponds and water features
Squirrel's, or as my husband calls them, Fluffy tailed Tree Rats, are constant companions on my urban farm. My home has become the nesting ground for a giant clan we call the Maple Gang that is many generations strong.
